Last 20 years
#1 First day at school .
I really don't remember much about this day—obviously, it was 20 years ago, and I was only 4. I was going to Saint Anthony's Day School nursery. My sister was in the same school. As far as I remember, I had no idea what school even was. My parents knew I was going to cry or be scared, so they came up with a strategic plan to get me there. They called all my elder cousins, brothers, and neighbors, and they all accompanied me to school. I was told we were going to play cricket near my sister's school.
So, they took me there and then told me I had to go to school for about 20 minutes while they arranged the wickets and players. They sent me in, and then all went home, leaving me alone. I realized the truth a few hours later inside the school. All unknown faces and no clue what to do. So, I started crying and screaming, eventually starting a mini-revolt. I began hitting and beating all the teachers, even the principal. They ended up arranging a seat in my sister's class, and my sister carried me around all day.
When I came home, I understood my parents' tricks and, the next day, I strategically hid the uniform under the closet so I wouldn't have to go to school. But eventually, after a few tantrums and my parents' struggles, I started going to school.
